Last week was National Book Lover’s Day so we asked WorkLodge Members about their favorite books.

It turned out to be so much fun that we thought we’d check in with the WorkLodge Community Team to get their recommendations because you know, reading is awesome.

Hopefully you’ll be inspired to add some of these titles to your reading list!

On August 25, 2017, Hurricane Harvey struck the Gulf Coast with record breaking rainfall and catastrophic flooding leaving Houston and the surrounding communities structurally and emotionally devastated in the days and months following. Businesses that suffered damage to property scrambled to relocate and rebuild, many of them unable to recover their productivity as a result.

Following the hurricane, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Hewlett Packard Inc., two of Houston’s largest enterprise corporations, were without a building safe enough for their employees to enter and without space to continue business as usual.

Sunny Days Pool Management is a new company in the long-standing Aquatic Management market. Coming from a background in the industry- seeing the good, the bad, and the ugly- we are paving a new way for the industry to operate that puts an emphasis on quality training and investment in staff that develops strong customer relationships keeping community pools safe and fun.

Enjoli Productions: This company is a collective of talented photographers who make everlasting memories for couples all over Texas on their BEST.DAY.EVER! This company will be changing lives by delivering exceptional service to booked couples and giving them incredible memories from their day.

For our photographers, we will be incorporating a training and mentor program where we “raise up” photographers to serve on our team. This will be reaching into communities where opportunities are not as fluid as big cities, underprivileged, veterans and others needing a chance to grow their creative sides.

I’m sure by now you’ve seen the YouTube clip of Kodi Lee, a contestant on America’s Got Talent just a few days ago. I heard the gossip, the news, about this 22 year old guy who received the first of the magical ‘Golden Buzzers’ for this year’s contest. What I missed however was the real story behind why he captured so many people’s hearts and why this translates to Entrepreneurship.

Meet WorkLodge – Vintage Park Member, Glenn Kramer. Glenn has a long background in financial IT security, specifically for banks. You can always count on Glenn to have interesting stories and a gorgeous, vintage Ford waiting for him in the parking lot.

In the three and a half years Glenn has been a WorkLodge Member, he has grown his business (Network Security Solutions), sold that business, and started a new one (Unisec)!
