Hey there.
Welcome to the WorkLodge Blog.
Names Matter
As a social impact business, we focus intentionally on not just looking for ways to help and deliver enterprising impact in our local communities and beyond, but also in looking for ways to bring awareness to how valuable it is for all businesses to think beyond themselves.
One of the ways we do this is with names. Specifically, the names of our meeting and conference rooms!
6 Rules to Follow When Homeschooling
6 Rules to Follow When Homeschooling During COVID (or even when it’s over!).
1. The Golden rule of homeschooling is, do NOT try to replicate your child’s mainstream school.
You can’t do a lot of the things the teacher can do with a group of students; you don’t have the same resources so please do not make things more difficult by trying to turn your dining room into a mainstream school!

5 Tips for Working Remotely

Keep reading for WorkLodge’s top 5 tips for navigating remote work as a small business.
When ONE+ONE=1
When we built WorkLodge, we built it in tandem with FT5K, a nonprofit focused on helping those who can’t help themselves in self-sustaining ways whenever possible. Our work is primarily local (in 2019 we donated over $1,000,000 of fresh food and produce to families in the Houston area for example) however we also aim for one larger scale project overseas each year.
For 2020, we wanted to connect our Members even more to the mission and really bring clarity to our tag line, “Workspace. Changing Lives.” and so we’re excited to explain one of the ways we’ve approached that for 2020.
