Would two or three good days away from the kitchen table change your week? Or would you spend those days hunting for somewhere to take a private call?
Coworking is worth considering when the shared environment fits your work and solves a problem you actually have. You don't have to outgrow it on a timetable.
Know what you're paying to improve
It might be concentration, a clearer boundary between work and home, or simply being around other people. Those are useful reasons to try a different workspace. A membership doesn't guarantee more clients, referrals or productivity.
Visit during the hours you'd normally work. Notice the noise, connection, comfort and journey, then compare that experience with your current arrangement.
Compare the memberships and hours
WorkLodge's part-time open coworking membership is $199 per month for three weekdays per week, your choice. Full-time open coworking is $299 per month for business-day access. Open coworking hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Reserved desk memberships provide access seven days a week, 8am to 8pm. Check the current plan, location, term and included services before choosing.
Think through calls and guests
If you take calls most of the day or handle confidential information, ask where that work would happen. A shared area may be a poor fit even if you love the people and the coffee.
Occasional client meetings may work well with a booked meeting room. Confirm availability and cost. If you need a room of your own throughout the week, compare a private office. Team size alone doesn't make that decision for you.
Run the numbers for your own routine
Include the membership, travel and any extra bookings or services you'd use. Both WorkLodge campuses have free surface and covered parking, and visitors park free too.
A plan you rarely use may not be good value. A shared workspace you enjoy using for years can be. Pick the arrangement that makes your week work better.
